The AMI-SeCo National Stakeholder Group Poland (AMI-SeCo NSG_PL) was established on the initiative of the National Bank of Poland (NBP) and KDPW on 19 October 2020.
AMI-SeCo NSG_PL was established in connection with the harmonisation of collateral management on the European market, an initiative of the Advisory Group on Market Infrastructures for Securities and Collateral (AMI-SeCo) at the European Central Bank (ECB).
The mandate of AMI-SeCo issued by ECB is to promote deeper integration of EU markets with a view to establishing a European financial market according to the framework defined in the Capital Markets Union (CMU). The objective with respect to collateral management is to improve the mobility of collateral in order to improve liquidity management by eliminating existing operational barriers. AMI-SeCo fosters integration initiated by the establishment of TARGET2 and TARGET2Securities.
AMI-SeCo NSG_PL brings together representatives of the National Bank of Poland (NBP), Krajowy Depozyt Papierów Wartościowych (KDPW), KDPW_CCP, brokers and banks, participants in the securities settlement systems operated by NBP and KDPW, issuers, the Minister responsible for financial institutions, and the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF).
