KDPW operates as a central securities depository (CSD) and is authorised under CSDR.
KDPW performs the settlement of instructions (transfer orders) and processes payments related to these orders, by making appropriate changes to balances on depository accounts, omnibus securities accounts and securities accounts and by sending instructions to debit and credit the cash accounts of participants. Performs settlement on the basis of settlement instructions sent by direct KDPW participants, by the KDPW_CCP central counterparty clearing house, by the National Bank of Poland and the BondSpot platform.
KDPW also performs cross-system settlement of transfers of securities registered in KDPW via operational links to other CSDs.
